The American Muslim Leadership Council (AMLC) is a leadership and empowerment movement built to serve our community today — and shape its future tomorrow.
We exist to nurture leaders who embody Islam's universal values of humanity, freedom, justice, and service, and to create a united voice that advances the well-being of American Muslims in Michigan and beyond.

Our Leadership
AMLC is guided by a team of dedicated leaders who bring experience, vision, and service to the community. Together, they ensure that every program, initiative, and decision is rooted in faith, knowledge, and accountability.
Mr. Abdallah Sheik
Chairman
Provides overall direction, governance, and oversight for AMLC. Ensures AMLC remains faithful to its mission and accountable to the community.
Dr. Ghanim Aljumaily
Chief Executive Officer
Leads AMLC's executive team, overseeing strategy, programs, and operations. With a focus on vision and implementation, he ensures AMLC delivers real impact.
Dr. Raad Jassim
Board Member
Contributes expertise in education, research, and community engagement, helping AMLC design programs that nurture leadership and advance knowledge.
Dr. Ahmad Ghanim
Board Member
Guides AMLC's role in advocacy, outreach, and civic participation with a background in social service and community leadership.
Ms. Muna Mawri
Board Member
Focuses on empowering women and strengthening family engagement. Plays a key role in AMLC's Women's Department and community programs.
