Political strength is not optional — it is essential for protecting our freedoms and shaping our future. The AMLC Politics & Community Engagement Department mobilizes American Muslims to organize, advocate, and lead so our voices influence policies locally, nationally, and globally.

Why the Politics Department Exists
Representation is power. When we are absent from decision-making spaces, others make choices about us without us. For decades, American Muslims have been underrepresented, leaving our concerns ignored and our rights vulnerable.
The Politics & Community Engagement Department exists to build civic power — rooted in the Qur'an's call to justice and the Prophetic tradition of public service.
By organizing our voices, training leaders, and mobilizing voters, we ensure our community is no longer silent, but central.
