From the earliest days of Islam, women have been teachers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries. The AMLC Women's Department exists to reclaim that legacy — empowering women to lead, strengthening families, and building networks that uplift the entire community.
Why the Women's Department Exists
Women have always been at the center of our faith and history. Khadijah (RA) built businesses that sustained Islam's earliest mission. Aisha (RA) became one of the greatest scholars of hadith. Countless women shaped Islamic civilization as leaders, educators, and reformers.
Yet in today's society, Muslim women's voices are too often minimized, overlooked, or left unsupported.
The Women's Department exists to restore and expand that legacy.
We work to ensure women are not only included, but positioned as leaders in faith, family, business, and public life.
